mp3 | shlohmo | bo peep (do u right) feat. jeremih

it's been a long while now, but we're back with something of a treat. say what you will of jeremih, the guy's a freebie. shlohmo, on the other hand, has quickly become one of the most promising contemporary producers out of los angeles, releasing banger after banger. "bo peep (do u right)" is by no means an exception to this pattern and instead, works to solidify shlohmo as one of the front-runners in the perpetually expanding hiphop game. the track utilizes the producers patented dreary but clean and sharp soundscape while jeremih's vocals do well to stay out of the spotlight, supporting the song through relatively inconspicuous, subdued lyrics and delivery. don't miss this one; the artist was even kind enough to release the track for free. stream it above and get that (right click, save link as) download here.

mp3 | thee oh sees | toe cutter thumb buster

the san francisco jammers thee oh sees have been at it for over ten years now and the new track "toe cutter thumb buster" serves as a clear example of why and how they've remained not only relevant, but pertinent for the past decade plus.  the latest single from the upcoming full length floating coffin (out april, 16), employs a simple, fuzzy and cathartic riff that binds the band's pop and psych elements into one cohesive and entirely rewarding harmony. cut by way of codimon, give it a stream above and snag that (right click, save link as) download here.

mp3 | shannon and the clams | ozmo

recently re-released via burger records, shannon and the clams' "ozmo" is back in full rotation. boasting the same rock-a-billy sound we've grown increasingly fond of in recent months, the oakland natives and shangri las-influenced beach rockers have managed to carve quite the niche for themselves.  "ozmo" serves as a testament to the bands inherent ability to write and perform immediately endearing and charming tracks.  an undeniably addictive and equally cathartic hook anchors and simultaneously carries the jangly, pop-rock and when shannon convincingly croons "oh, i --i think i love you," it's impossible to believe otherwise.  check out the stream above and be sure to snag the (right click, save link as) download here.
